studio Tumult is founded by Martijn van Loenen.  We design and make products that help calm done the turmoil inside your head. To make you calm down and feel at home at your place. We aim to make treasured heirlooms, that overtime will gain the patinated memories of family live.

Our products are designed and handmade in the Netherlands. 

We make small series and bespoke stuff for in your house. We love to make our bespoke furniture in co-creation with you. Share your thoughts and ideas or provide outdated family furniture that would like to give a new life. In this way we can create heirloom treasures for the next generation, without burdening the environment.     

studio Tumult is located in a 400 year old warehouse that has been abandoned for more than 40 years. Slowly but surely we are converting it in a our home and workplace ourselves, truely a labour of love and patience.
